Svet, meaning "Light" in Russian, is a Hellenic Black Metal solo-project formed in 2018 by Athanasios Papangelis. Svet's music is mostly atmospheric with melancholic and depressive melodies. The lyrics are based on the spiritual journey of man from darkness to light, towards self-knowledge and freedom, having as main idea the allegory of Plato's cave and the ancient Hellenic philosophy in general.
